Summer Days and An Invitation

The sad; We said a final good-bye to my own mother in May. As the grief continues to roll through at unexpected times, I know she is now at peace.

The celebratory; My oldest is now engaged to be married! We did truly celebrate the occasion with travel to Florida to the planned wedding destination. Oh my, how exciting to see him and his sweet fiance' take their relationship to the next level of commitment.

As I continue to enjoy a flourishing backyard garden and relish the summertime I am planning for the fall season. For anyone reading here, those plans include continuing to facilitate a weekly online breastfeeding support group. Running now for over two years this meeting of the moms is regularly well attended with mothers sharing their experiences as both new and experienced breastfeeding moms join in the conversations. Mother to mother support is alive and well and can even happen online! Solid friendships have formed even through the online format and in some cases have led to wonderful in person meet ups.
