If you haven't had the advantage of being in the company of other breastfeeding mothers you may not have any idea of what it will mean practically for your days as a new breastfeeding mother. We'll cover the basics.

If you intend to breastfeed your baby you will be learning a new skill set along with your baby. Breastfeeding is a natural but learned skill for both of you. This course provides basic information for you to have an understanding of the process so that you can begin with a view toward learning and gaining confidence. 

Develop a Plan for Support

We will create a listed of trusted support people you can call on for help, answers to your questions and encouragement. It will be a useful tool as you develop your breastfeeding relationship and enlist any support you may need. 

The course will include lessons, activity prompts and discussion to help you develop a plan for yourself and your family.

Community

The course includes an confidential online discussion group, access to an ongoing online mother to mother support group with access to the facilitator for questions.
